Iron is a mineral or micro-mineral and is found in meat. Iron is vital to many metabolic functions including oxygen transportation in hemoglobin. Iron is needed continuously to provide hemoglobin for newly produced red blood cells. Low levels of iron will lead to the development of anemia.

Phosphorus is a mineral or micro-mineral and is found in meat and offal meat. Phosphorous is required in a relatively high amount in the diet. Phosphorous maintains the growth and structure of the skeletal system.

Riboflavin otherwise known as Vitamin B2 is found naturally in meat and offal meat. All B-complex vitamins are water-soluble vitamins that are not stored in the body, therefore need to be supplied by the diet. Vitamin B2, has been proven to be essential to normal growth, muscle development, and hair coat.

Niacin otherwise known as Vitamin B3 is found naturally in meat and offal meat such as liver and fish. B-complex vitamins are water-soluble vitamins that are not stored in the body, therefore need to be supplied by the diet. Niacin promotes growth, proper functioning of the nervous system, maintenance of healthy coat, digestive system, and carbohydrate-fat-protein metabolism.

Cobalamin otherwise known as Vitamin B12 is found naturally in meat, offal meat and fish. All B-complex vitamins are water-soluble and are not stored in the body, which is why it is important to ensure your pet gets enough in their daily diet. Vitamin B12 is necessary for the bone marrow to produce red blood cells. It has an important role in intestinal health, as well as brain function.

Zinc is a trace mineral found naturally in meat and bone meal.
